Life is filled with discovery and adventure each and every day - whether the children are working at their school or working for the community.
With the generous assistance of our parents, we are honored to reach out to both local and international communities in need. |
 |
We have participated in various events and fundraisers over the years:
- In 2010, our community came together and collected approximately 170 coats and $1000 for Coats-4-Kids: an annual project that collects and distributes warm winter coats to eligible children and teenagers in Central Texas.
- In 2009, our Ambassadors for a Cure team was the top 10th team at the Race for Cure out of 1,100 registered teams and raised almost $7,000.00 for free mammogram's and breast cancer research in the Austin area.
- In 2007, we held fundraisers to help a young teacher with cancer and collected toys and clothing to send to children in Afghanistan.
- In 2005, we also opened the Japanese exhibition at the Austin Children’s museum with a concert of Japanese children's songs.
- Each year, the Bluebonnet children sing International Winter Holidays songs at Hill Country Galleria’s Winter Season festival.
- We have warmed the hearts of the elderly at The Summit with a Valentine Day concert.
- We have helped promote and fight "Stamp Out Hunger", through the Texas Food Drive Bank, by collecting food and monetary donations for 6000 meals.
- We gathered and donated toys for the Green Santa program.
- At Bluebonnet we believe in and promote Reuse, Reduce and Recycle and participate in Cartridges for Kids, a national program that responsibly recycles inkjet and laser cartridges as well as small electronic devices.
